Dr. Ali Khaksar
graduated from the Ohio State University with the degree of Bachelor
of Science in Biology in 1999. He continued his education at The
Ohio State School of Dentistry and received his degree of “Doctor of
Dental Surgery” in 2003. During his dental education, Dr. Khaksar
was a member of the American Student Dental Association and the
American Dental Association. He received the honorary award of “
Excellence in Clinical Performance” while attending the School of
Dentistry. This award is highly recognized at The Ohio State
University as only 4 students out of the entire school of dentistry
receive it each year.
Dr. Khaksar attended The Institute at Heartland Dental Care in
Effingham, Illinois for training in cosmetic dentistry. He also
attended many continuing education seminars and obtained
certifications in dental implant placement and restoration; latest
technologies in diagnosis and treatment of root canals; invisalign
treatment; and surgical techniques.
Dr. Khaksar is currently a member of American Dental
Association, Ohio Dental Association and the Columbus
Dental society. The American Dental Association
recognized Dr. Khaksar as a “Top Dentist” in 2009.
Dr. Khaksar has contributed financially to school
building projects in the African country of Ghana to
make education more accessible to children. He has also
contributed to a project aimed to create a well system
in an area of Ghana where clean drinking water was not
available to residents.
Khaksar has also attended missionary trips to provide
dental treatments for the underserved population in
Peru. He explains his missionary trip to Peru in his
words: “It was a spiritually uplifting experience that
changed my life. I loved serving people of Peru,
immersing myself in their culture, serving them, taking
care of their dental needs, and disconnecting from
technology for a while. Serving and interacting with the
locals was great. I loved the opportunity to be a
blessing to those less fortunate.” Dr. khaksar has
performed over 1000 dental procedures while being on
missionary trips in Peru.
